Is this an actual happening or media's hype?
I assume strong winds can't melt concrete homes.
>>
>>1095334
It can fuck up our vulnerable electrical infrastructure and we'd essentially be Haiti, not to mention heavy ass flooding and niggers taking advantage and looting.
>>
>>1095319
you probably need batteries for a radio, or a powerbank for your smartphone to listen to emergency broadcast
You probably need at least 10 or 20 cannisters for water, because often the governments shuts off water supply because of broken pipes and shit
You need high protein food, snack bars, your fridge might keep cool for a day or two but no more. Also rice for carbs.
Youll need paracetamol or aspirine, especially if you have someone with heart problems, also insulin if diabetic.
Then its about toilet paper, shaving razors.
>>
>>1095319
>waste deep water at most
How did anyone die in texas?
Just walk out of it moron.
Or if you stay home, have a weapon
>>
>>1095334

Tornadoes will fuck your shit up I don't care how strong you think your house is.

My area had 70 tornadoes alone when ivan hit, and yeah, looters are a very real and big thing.

Hurricane zones turn into post-apocalyptic wastelands for like two weeks after, basically a free for all.
>>
>>1095343
What else, lets see...
id carry a pocket knife for any still ripe fruit around
Its not gonna be hard to survive a natural disaster as long as you have a way of communication with the outer world to know when and where to expect aid or not going out of the house because of expected floods or wind, some TP for your dirty ass because disease can spread quickly if theres no water and soap to wash your hands and ass, and most of the time its not a problem to find food its storing it that presents a problem because surprise, your freezer doesnt work. Also i hope you have a gas bottle for your stove

The problem is it's impossible to get gasoline or bottled water or numerous other things right now. The power will def be out for some time in certain areas, and even after the store only a few gas stations and grocery stores have generators.

I bought 2 cases today and had at least 10 people try to take them off my cart. A full pallet of water was gone in about 5 minutes.

My first stop was a gas station who ordered 20 cases of 20oz bottles of water because people are stocking up on those at $2ea. The guy working said "The owner didn't leave a check, come back after 10am". I told him I don't have time to come back later, we aren't rescheduling shit because it's too busy, and we normally don't take cash but I will do it and fill out the paperwork because I don't want dude to miss out on the water. He still said no because he's retarded.

Had a Toys R' Us later in the day. They normally get small orders just to fill their coolers by the registers. They had 6cs of water on the order, even the toy store was out of single 20oz water bottles so I gave him the extra 20cs the other guy didn't have money for. It's a corporate store so a whole case can only be sold as $1.99 x 24, so he put a sign on them saying $48 per case and I bet he sold them all already.

That being said, Broward and Dade have strict building codes so my house will probably still be standing.
>>

>>1095757
Tap water in clean containers (buckets, etc) will keep long enough to ride it out. That said, a drop or two of bleach per gallon as >>1095759 says isn't a bad idea once they've been sitting for a few days. You have to let the bleach work its magic for some amount of time (??) before you start drinking it.

The point is to not be in high water because that's been taught as very dangerous since like the 1800's.

Because the chinks only modernized the eastern 1/8th of the country and used literal slave labor to do it. It still cost them more than their country has made in the last 5 years total.

They fund local school districts, both directly via grants and indirectly via standard distributions to the state board of education which then fund the districts directly.

Which then choose to use that money as they see fit. Some of it ends up in pensions.

Get a rubber raft with patch kits and hand pumps and oars(collapsible).
Get 12 volt fridge/freezer and solar panel(s)
Get lots of disposable water filters(carbon/use cloth for muddy water(everything basically).
Bleach/Iodine tabs.
Plastic bottles(checked) UV or a day or 3 of sun before drinking.(After filtering all the literal shit and chemicals out, the bleach will kill most bacteria and the sun via the permeable plastic will kill the viral/rest of bacterial shit.
High Ground with cover against rain/hail/wind.
Insulation from cold. Water cover(tent or lots of well strung/supported tarps.
When all utilities are flooded, no wheeled vehicles will help, boats that can handle 6inches of water or several stories of water that can easily be patched in field will be your salvation. GPS WILL be necessary unless you know your surroundings via 10 or more feet of height above the norm.
Waste protection/handling. Water collection/filtering/gathering/usage. Cleaning yourself. Shelter! Most people have cellphones, download a offline map of your area so cell service won't disable your gps maps.
