you dont want to store oils in your standard recyclable bottle because the seal isnt affirmative enough, oil would leak out. most recyclable bottles dont have a great seal, but one ive found with a very affirmative seal is the Pom drink brand

you also dont want to store oils in glassware simply because it is glassware and fragile

glass has no special use outside of being (chemically) stable, and aesthetic

i use a tabasco bottle for oil. the splash thing makes it easier to get the right amount
