How are y'all homeless anons holding up? Do anything fun recently?
>>
my plug had some fentnyl cut into my h, slammed up this morning and just got to starbucks, not a bad day
>>
>>1082923
I just got done masturbating all over the sink and faucet handles in a Burger King bathroom. Didn't even wash my hands when I was done. I went right back to eating a whopper that some old lady bought me.
>>
>>1082923
Question: if you're homeless then how are you using the internet?
>>
>>1082963
Are you retarded?

>>1082947
Wtf I love the heroin epidemic now since you will be dead soon

In order to use the internet you have to have some kind of electronic device. Like a cellphone, tablet, laptop, computer, etc. As well as paying for the internet itself.

All of that shit costs money.

If you are homeless then how the hell are you paying for your electronic device/internet?
>>
>>1082996

>2009+
>not knowing about data funneling

Who dresses you in the morning, you miserable piece of shit?
>>
>>1083000
That still doesn't explain how a bunch of hobos have access to a bunch of smart phones, tablets, laptops, and shit.

Even if you had previously paid for it and simply kept it when you wound up on the streets someone else would have stolen it long ago to pay for their crack addiction.
>>
>>1083006
>not knowing about crop phones
>not knowing how to grit electronics with basic shit you find on the street
>not knowing about ghost machines

You really are a fucking retard aren't you?
>>

>2. go to mcdonalds
>3. use free internet and electric

Homeless people are 2 steps ahead of an average Joe blow any day, they're hustlers for the most part, not everyone of them but a great majority
>>
You'd be suprised how much money panhandlers get. They definitely make enough to pay for a chepay smartphone at wal mart and put a few minutes on if they want. Of course most of the homeless ive met usually buy drugs and alcohol but some are just enjoying the free ride.
>>
>>1083035
Where the fuck can you go in the U.S. where being homeless is "enjoying the free ride"?!
>>
>>1083038
CA
>>
>>1083006

>>1083038
Just about everywhere. As long as you're not a drug addict, you end up having more money than you know what to do with when you don't have any bills.
>>
How do you guys deal with shitheads trying to mess with you?
>>
>>1083047
By spending as little time in the city as possible. When you're out in the woods, you're just another dude camping.
>>
>>1083047
fuck them up
>>
>>1083048
Makes sense
>>1083049
Doesn't that just lead to you getting fucked up sometimes?
>>
>>1083051
>lead to you getting fucked up
More often than not.

The smart ones will catch a ride from where they are to where they're going, spend only enough time in a town to make some cash and grab some supplies, and then head back into the woods. Being in the city all the time is just plain dangerous, bums will try to take your gear, cops will try to arrest you, some people will just kick you when you're trying to sleep. When you're on the beach or at a lake, you're eating well, sleeping regularly and getting respect from other outdoorsmen who are shocked at how you just spent a whole month in the wilderness with only what you can carry.
>>
>>1082923
Anybody ever had to live in their car? How'd you do it?

>Just curious really
>>
>>1083056
Sounds like you do a lot of fishing. Do you worry about permits or is that a non-issue? Thanks for anwering my naive questions.
>>
>>1083103
I have, I don't recommend it unless you're currently looking for work.

>>1083105
Tons, yeah. It's $20 for a resident fishing license, well worth the cost in my opinion, though I've never been checked.

It's not uncommon for me to go out for a month at a time with a few bags of hooks, a couple jars of powerbait and a 2liter bottle of rice. Not counting gas to get to and from the lakes, I figure I spend about $30/month feeding myself and have no other major expenses. That can be easily acquired via plasma donation.
>>
>>1083108
I'm most definitely not planning on living in a car; I don't like the idea of being homeless due to past experiences, and I'd rather sell my car to afford rent.

But anyway, it struck me that it's effectively a small room with seats you're driving around. Care to share any experiences? Or would you rather leave it as a firm "don't recommend"?
>>
>>1083056
>some people will just kick you when you're trying to sleep
It's good to know that there are still some fine upstanding citizens around.
>>
>>1083108
Sounds breddy gud. If I fuck everything up I'll probably jump on the ferry to Norway and do something like this. I can always stay with my family there in the winter.

One of my earliest attempts at being homeless, when gf kicked me out, couldn't handle the uncomfortable sleeping position, fear of getting walked up on, cold temperatures.

Don't recommend.

>>1083116
I don't know if you have the option, but going further south in the winter is better than relying on family. You never know when you might have a falling out, especially since hard-working peoples tend to look down on those of us who don't.

Plus a shitty android smartphone is cheap as fuck and even most homeless people have them. Lots of relief organazitions actually give smartphones to the homeless. Ever hear of "Obama phones?" What do you think they were?

Plus OP or any other homeless could be posting from a fucking library computer..

What's the legality of living in the six flags parking lot? By this time next year I plan on buying a six flags pass, food plan, and trailer for about $1,550 and camping out by all the RV's there. Am I violating any laws for doing this? I may or may not be buying a second trailer and splitting the cost between four people who've has as little faith in their future as I do.

I'm in the woods in the Canadian Rockies right now, I've spent the last month here and have spent over 3 weeks of it sleeping outside. I quit my job and sublet my apartment and left. Pic related, my camp this morning.
>>
>>1083636
That's a beautiful spot. How does distributed camping work up there? On NF land in the US you can get fined or arrested for being in the same spot for more than 16 days.
>>
>>1083638
Seems alright. Most of my camping has been under the radar. I have a wilderness permit which allows me to do unlimited camping in any of the mountain NPs, though there are a few rules (which no one will know if you break). I camped outside Jasper for about a week and no one even came close to finding my spot.

You're supposed to camp 5km from a trail or road when doing random camping and move camp every two days in Jasper NP, but really when you're that far out? Who'll know. Just be respectful of the environment.
>>
>>1083038
Pick a major metro area on either coast. There.

Thanks to the bleeding-heart lliberals, all a person has to do is HINT at maybe possibly being homeless, and the government falls all over itself giving them my money. And I do mean literally MY money.
>tfw my city just passed an ordinance where anybody sleeping in a homeless shelter will be given $150 cash per day to do with as they please upon "check out" if they didn't shank anyone that night
>mfw my city is still at $7.65 minimum wage so they're literally giving them 2 days' wages every day, for free, WHILE SIMULTANEOUSLY FEEDING AND HOUSING THEM FOR FREE.
>meanwhile local sales tax jumps 6%

Aren't parking lots the private property of whoever owns the building they are connected to?

Or are parking lots themselves public property, like sidewalks?
>>
>>1083670
Check the filename
>>
>>1083743
Parking lots are usually private property, especially if the building(s) on it is privately owned.

WalMart has an unofficial policy to allow customers to use their parking lot as long as it doesn't inhibit the flow of business, the most notable exception was during the North Dakota oil rush when rent skyrocketed and the WM's parking lots filled up so much that other customers could find a place to park, shit changed there real quick. You would want to call ahead of time to find out if a particular business allows this, but since Six Flags owns the hotels that are on the property, them having a policy that lets people stay there without paying them for it isn't very likely.

Most of us are actually just full-time hikers and campers that get away with being able to travel as much as we do because we don't have bills to pay.

My only living expenses are fish hooks and rice, I effectively retired at 30 and travel all the time now.

Mirin your life, anon. My girl and I bought a fifth wheel and cut down on our possessions. We're still young and both work, but slowly headed toward a self sustainable minimal kind of life. We'll probably get a cheap place in October through the winter so we can winterize the camper and not worry about shit breaking. This has been a nice step in the right direction though. Very cheap living.

Well, i had gotten a little car to travel in because i made a bunch of money hitching around. After being in that thing for 6mo i wanted something bigger so i had a grand put back to buy a van. Just happened across the bus, bought it for 500, put another 750 in it to get it ready. Ive had it for a year and a half now and my total investment is 2,800 after putting a brand new engine it.
>try the normal cuck life
Oh god yes. I grew up in Leavenworth KS where everyones idea of living the dream is getting a $9/hr job to work the rest of your life. After high school i fucked around working for a year, ended up going to college for 2 years at 19. Moved to Kansas City, girlfriend at the time was a hair bitch, i made 12/hr working for the power and light district and most of the rest of my time was spent at school, she got 15/hr cutting hair. We were doing pretty good financially, had a house cars all that. She went into some shitty depression and ended up taking off to live with her parents again. The semester had just ended, we had roommates, so i decided to just say fuck it and start hitchhiking. Sold everything i couldnt carry and hit the road. I was 21, 26 now and been traveling ever since.
>>
>>1085269

Attention. They are unsatisfied with their life and seek validation in any form they can receive it, negative attention as validation requires less effort than being a productive self-actualized being, thus they act as they do. Do not give these people this validation by responding or acknowledging them or all you're doing is enabling them to continue as they are. When the antics cease to work at validating the unacceptable state they choose to abide in, there lies the possibility of growth for them as a person. Help them grow.

Life isn't about doing what makes other people think you're successful, it's about doing what makes you feel that you're successful.

I could never put a price on the experiences that I've had while traveling.

Have you tried traveling with the seasons? I haven't made it out of the US yet, but I just can't imagine being anywhere at a time that doesn't have perfect weather.

You doing good up there? I go multiple times a year (to visit family and/or go /out/), so I know this already. I'm just across the sea in Denmark. Traveled 3 months in western Canada last year. That wasn't cheap either. At least the booze was approachable there, and eating at restaurants wasn't so bad either.
>>
>>1085366
Na, haven't spent much time here yet, but it's their warmer time of year and it has rained each day where I have been staying. >>1085323
I was thinking of you especially. And since you're being singled out again today you're going to be my punching bag too.

I don't care if you eat trash or what you dress like.

Nothing bothers me about your lifestyle except your appearance.

I just want to know why you dress and look the way you do, when you clearly don't have to.
What's the purpose other than fitting in?

Did it just happen overnight?
You wake up and realize your hair looks like it got in a fight with a running fan belt, and your clothes are crusty rags that sound like a tarp flapping in the wind every time you move.

Maybe its a carefully curated look.
You WANT people to think "there goes a miserable fuckin dirty bum" so you get an excuse to smugly smile to yourself and think about how shit their wagie life must be.

I'm a pretty big fan of brown jasmine rice, it's got all the nutrients without the crap taste and adding split peas (they can be boiled together for the same length of time) make it a whole protein, just add some olive or avocado oil to get some extra calories and flavor, and you're packing food at a substantial 7cal/g.

Yes, but one is controlled by a master that will slaughter them when they're no longer useful, the other has acreage to roam and live as it chooses.

If you choose to work, that's great; all that matters is that you find happiness in life. I just try to make it clear that it is a choice, that you're not bound to a life of being told when you're allowed to eat and sleep by an employer. Once you truly understand that, it's your choice to do with what you want.

I have my patched up vest and pants, what you seem to consider to be some kind of bum status symbol. I got them both right before i started traveling, i like them and i will keep them alive as long as possible. I buy patches from music shows and leather stores because i like music and leather holds up the best. Ive been patching my clothes myself since middle school. I gave myself a bunch of shitty tattoos because i felt like it and i like them. Other than that i have shorts, two other pants, three shirts and my winter gear. I have around 10 pair underwear and socks. I suppose i wear clothes because i dont want to walk around naked, but i can see where you think its just to prove how dirty i am. As far as my hair, and i know this is hard to believe, i like it this way. I can tell youll probably be shocked at this answer, let me assure you that this has been my hairstyle for years and i didnt carefully groom it to be this way for stature.
Its almost like people wear the stuff they like or something, i have no reason or want to wear polos and jeans instead of my clothes. I dunno anon, my views are obviously skewed here, can you let me in on whatever secret reason people have for wearing the clothes they wear?

I did everything I could do before I went to a cubicle, I hiked countless miles and spent countless nights outside and did extremely hard things in my life. Once you realize you can achieve peace of mind anywhere so long as your brain isn't a weak cupcake, you should take the chance to stop abusing your body with labor. I can go back to that stuff whenever I want, but once you break yourself bad enough, then you can't.

Don't be in a race to attain freedom, realize you already have it.

As Wendell Berry would say, if you have to do things to feel free, than you weren't free before, and the more you notice that you're chasing freedom like a drug the sooner you'll realize you're getting further and further away from it.

Just get away from downtown and you'll be set. If it's a large city, take the bus as far out as you can and find a spot there. If you're really worried about it, check the neighborhood crime on that website that shows recent crime on a heatmap, or search for the 'shady' neighborhoods in the city and then locate yourself away from them. I've slept in plenty of cities and there's tons of good spots, away from downtown a few miles is usually fine. Just try not to be anywhere someone could walk by and also try to get up and leave early. Sleep in a place that nobody will be walking through or to, for example if you must sleep in a park sleep in a corner. Be aware of sprinklers.

Tell me what city you're in and I could probably find a few spots just using maps. Finding a good spot is best done by noticing it during the day. In places where homeless are common, the bit of forest behind a Walmart on the edge of town that you saw from Google maps might already have a camp in it and you won't really know until you go there.

Depends where are these bushes. Sometimes you can smell the homeless miles away from the bush.

But I would be more worried about the spiders and other insects, of course, If you are from the US or Europe then it should be fairly safe, not counting the southern regions.

Other countries can have nasty surprises inside though, for example in HongKong most homeless people live on the top of the buildings, almost nobody makes shelters inside the jungle because of pic related.

That's how I spend my summers, just hitchhiking up to some lake, swimming, fishing and chilling in my hammock.

Bums stick close to cities because that's where they have to be in order to beg for money. Homeless just means that I don't have a mortgage, so I can spend my time doing what I want instead of working to pay bills.

Homeless live off dumspter scraps, booze and handouts. You won't find any of those things in the wilderness Same reason millennials flock to the city these days

Using the incorrect terminology just makes you look stupid, not us.

Homeless: Lacking an established place of residence.
Bum: A beggar of food or money.
Traveler: Person who travels.
Drunk/Addict: Person who is incapable of remaining sober.

There's bums that live in nice houses, homeless people working corporate jobs, travelers who have six-figure incomes. And I know more rich alcoholics than I do homeless ones, they're just better at keeping it private.

Think of it this way, people who like what you like will often make similar decisions on where to go, stay, see as you will make. You cant meet anyone if youre just sitting on your ass somewhere. Ymmv.

Ive had a few traveling vehicles now and what i always tell everyone is dont underestimate your need for space. You gotta leave yourself some breathing room in any vehicle you find. Those vans that people try and cram a whole house into are miserable to live in. Personally i find showering at truck stops, bathing innariver/stream/spring/lake/rainstorm way more reasonable than sticking a shower into a conversion vehicle. If you have something big, like a half size or more school bus, theres obviously plenty of room. If i HAD to go with a shower in a conversion van itd be nothing more than a collapsible solar shower and a hook on the outside of the van to hang it on. If that is something you need inside, id just go with the rv.
As far as busking just get a battery power amp and play it quiet or go acoustic. I busk for 80% of my money and a couple anons around here can attest i play really loud everywhere i go and i never get hassled. Busking is far and away the easiest way to get money all over the country. You will have better luck in smaller college towns than you will in big ass cities but you can busk anywhere. Just go where the money is and play. If you get kicked out of one place, just move spots. You cant lose.

Sell car, 2-20k

No gas (I spend 50 bucks a week)

No insurance (1-3 thousand a year)

No maintenance (I probably spend 500-1000 a year between oil, brakes, filters etc.)

One year gives you probably 2-5 thousand you don't normally have , plus the value of of the car, you can get a pretty decent place at 400 bucks a month, so yeah that about works and you don't need to wash your cock in a sink everyday

I just wear clothes. Typically I go for comfort, but sometimes I wear nicer clothes. I don't give two fucks about looking like a "normie". I'm just pointing out how silly it is to wear, by your own words, "rags".

At that point they no longer function well as clothing and are only suited to something like wearing around the house. I've got a few items like you mentioned. They hold sentimental value even though they've picked up more than a few stains and moth holes. But I wear those at home only.

Confirmed for never owned a car (or just lying to support your point)

You need 3 to 4 oil changes a year. Those cost about $30 each, so call it $120. Brakes (especially the ceramic/metallic combo) typically last you 60,000 to 100,000 miles.

I haven't had any health problems on the road besides a cold or two a year, no worries here. I buy gas or play music and gas jug. Anyone can do whatever the fuck they want anon. Once you say fuck it and just do what you want you'll be where i am, whatever that means for you.
Biggest thing you can do in life is not let anything keep you from doing what makes you happy. Success is personal. Only changes we can make are in our own lives.
The only shit I do different from most people is live in a bus and eat trash. I play music for money anywhere from a day a week to 7 days a week depending on what i feel like doing. When I was hitching I slept outside. That's all there is to this life, being comfortable wherever you are. Once you achieve that it doesn't matter if you want to be a worthless bum or have a career, if you can survive and be comfortable living outside the bottom can never fall out on you and you learn there's nothing but opportunity once you leave the rat race and start moving around outside your hometown.
>>1087403
Bums who stay in one town or city typically don't. It's rough for a home bum. Dealing with all the other home bums crowding whatever sleep spots/camps the cops don't check and stealing your shit constantly while you try to steal theirs. Doing a bunch of drugs all over the place, moving spots all the time if they're worried and not until the police remove them if they're not.
The people around here are not home bums or addicts. We don't typically have trouble from police or anyone for that matter despite what you'd think from the shitposting around here. Life is easy as fuck on the road.
