Lemongrass is dying HELP!

Bad water, filter or use a rain catcher.

Tap water almost killed my 16 year old bamboo. (nj tap water isnt for drinking)

Looks like heat stress and root rot my bruh. My guess is the bulb was too shallow in the soil. It looks loose around the base of the stem and i dont see any perlite in that soil. Root rot and heat stress. Thats my official guess

I've got lemongrass growing in a cup of tap water on the window sill right now. I don't think I could kill it on purpose.
