If I'm camping alone, I'm often just content to sit and watch the fire. I might sketch, read, or smoke, but I find that I mostly just like sitting outside by a campfire and reveling in the solitude.

If I'm with my friends, we might talk or sing drinking songs (and drink), but we all kind of feel the same way about being outdoors, and it is kind of nice to just sit there with each other's company.

1. Don't fall for the expensive camera body meme, your best bet on cutting down noise level is to buy a Nikon since their noise reduction system is the best out there. Good lenses with as wide an aperture as possible are a million times more important.

2. Look up the Rule of 500 to prevent smudged stars

3. Learn some constellations and stellar objects! It makes astrophotography loads more fun.

4. Properly focus your lens by zooming in on and pointing it at Arcturus, the brightest sky in the summer sky and adjust your focus manually until it's a pinpoint.

5. Point your lens at the South side of the Milky Way if you want more colors and distinctive features. The north side is full as fuck.

6. Invite qt outdoorsy girls to go do it with you. They love this shit.

I'm not your regular hiker.
Where I go there's no time for leasure . Can't let my guard down ever. There is threat from bears, snakes, spiders, native tribes and guerilla armies. I'm armed 24/7 and very skilled at various weapons. Even when I'm asleep I'm always on guard. I learned this technique from a munk while exploring chinese mountains no one has ever stepped foot on.
