When I drive from Chicago back home down here, I used to take I-57 all the way thru IL. But then I realized I can take I-65 thru IN and then come through more of KY. It's slightly longer and I have to go through Indiana which is terrible, but I get to enjoy more hills and scenery in Kentucky that way.

Ehh, I'm in Louisville. Just tough to bear the Ohio River Valley allergies and humidity. This summer has been extra hot and humid.

I'm in Louisville too, just got back from a few years in the willamette valley in Oregon.

Every single bit of sunlight and humidity I'm thankful for. I want the full effect of extreme Kentucky weather I took it for granted I really did.

Oregon is the worst place ever. I don't know why people say it's nice. It's dry but also rainy. So when the sun goes down, it drops 35 degrees, so you always have to be dressed for that change. Also it rains more than 2/3 of the year, and it's almost always cloudy. The rain itself is cold. This is all nade retarded as fuck by the fact that they don't even have winter. It's just a shitty ass 40-75 degree rainy hellhole year round.

I will NEVER take Kentucky for granted again. You will never get me to leave this heaven. Kentucky is the center of the universe.

Eky 606 here. Always innawoods in
Perry, letcher, harlan, and leslie. Ky is the best place to live if you're into the woods. A lot of freedom. So much freedom that I hate going to RRG because your have rules and restrictions. Here you can just go through a few counties on a strip job and do whatever you want whenever you want. I'll dump some photos I took.

I sweat way too much in high humdity and its a pain to carry a shit ton of water around. Dry heat is fine with me. We've got the best fall though. Kentucky fall is amazing. Spring can be ok if it doesn't monsoon all season. Sucks because it always seems to rain on spring weekends. Glad there are other Kentucky /out/ists.

I spent a summer in Nebraska. Mostly just played frisbee golf. I'd hear complaints about humidity and genuinely be confused. Couldn't feel anything, figured Ky had conditioned me.

No homo, but if somoene from Louisville wants to chill, I'd be down. I do love the state. Hwy 127 yard sale is next weekend fwy. Not really /out/ kinda out, but there are spots to camp along the highway and plenty of out gear for sale.

Sometimes I do, but then I start thinking about how different the forests were then. Kentucky used to be full of huge chestnut trees and giant passenger pigeon flocks and thick stands of freaking bamboo-like cane.

It's hard to wrap my head around that. All I can really imagine are the trees going on forever and being significantly bigger.
