Powerline cuts are a godsend for black rasberries. I've been finding pound after pound of these fuckers back in there
These bastards starting taking over the ground in my garden but now I just let them run wild and eat a purslane salad once every other day or so. It's AGGRESSIVE.
I found a nice patch of chanterelles last week. Pickled the smaller ones and dried the larger ones.
Just ordered an entrenching tool so I can go innawoods and start taking down some of these fuckers this fall. The roots are supposed to taste a lot like carrots but slightly more bitter.
I have dreams of being able to find jerusalem artichokes wild but haven't had any luck. Might try to grow some next year from tubers if able.

dope, how were they? Did you make anything with them yet?

watch out for the heavy electricity!

I have to wait a week or two before I try the one's I pickled, but I did fry up a couple fresh ones and they were delicious. I'm saving what I dried for when/if I get a deer this fall. I've got a venison/barley/wild mushroom stew that I like to make when it gets cold.
I got a bunch of Pequi and some Siriguelas. I can't take pics because no camera.

>Pequi and some Siriguelas
What are these?
>>1069927
pequi is a fruit that has needles inside but you can scrape of it's flesh and use it in chicken. Siriguelas are called red mombin in english. I got a buttload of Anacardium humile which is a native cashew species here. My plan is to find some jabuticabas next week.

I've only found that one patch of about 30. I went back and checked the spot today and found a few more sprouting up. In need of some rain here, though. Every other type I've found is drying up and full of bugs.
