Extension cords are made of many braided strands which you can use individually in an emergency. They make field expedient snare wire. Finally, in a survival situation you can forge a copper knife or axehead with it. Though pros do recommend carrying a tenth the cord's weight in tin so you can make bronze.

Mine; matches are in my wallet.

Used to carry a Spyderco Military, but some numales at work got scared and bitched to bossman; he didn't care personally, but I switched out to the small Spitfire.

The SAK is useful for the screwdrivers, but otherwise it's just a backup and for nostalgia being as it was my first EDC knife before EDC was a thing.

Eh, the Spitfire is decent. Some have up and down blade play, but that's been the same since their 110s, and it doesn't affect anything.

420HC is nice steel.

For 30-40 buckaroos, it's as good as you can expect.

As do I, as well as many others knives, Spyderco, Benchmade and Reeves.

For the price, the Spitfire is perfectly serviceable. Grip material and size is good, blade material and size is good, the thumbhole isn't good, but it works. The blade play is the only real issue I've seen people complain about, but that's nothing new with Buck or any brand, really (I have a brand new PM2 with play and a Spitfire with none).

It's easily worth 1/3-1/2 of a Spyderco Delica/Endura, which is what you pay for it.

The folding sheepsfoot is a cheap little Kershaw that I carry around as a workhorse for most normal stuff at work. The brass flat thing is a kiridashi that I use as a craft knife/carving knife. It's essentially a non-disposable exacto knife with a right-handed bevel. The brass folder is a higo no kami knife that I carry more out of sentimentality than anything.

Better safe than sorry imo. It's not a pain to carry or anything since I have a CHL so why not? Besides, I use my phone, wallet, keys, knife, vape, and light every day.

The only things that are different from most people here is having a primary and backup firearm and a couple of mags. I'm acutely aware of failures so if my primary fails, I have a backup. If a mag fails, I have a backup.

There's no way I'd ever shoot more than a handful of rounds in a self defense scenario, so while it looks like I'm expecting to wake up in Detroit with a sandwich board like Bruce Willis in "Die Hard With A Vengence", I'm just anticipating a worst case scenario where everything fails all at once.
