This is a short review of the Cudeman MT5 or 120M.
I fell for the Cudememe about two weeks ago and since I was in need of a nice stainless outdoors knife with all the restrictions and advantages of stainless steel for my regions weather, I decided on the recently shilled Cudememe MT5.
The knife and leather sheath come in a nice cardboard Box with all the info required, and no papers or instructions were included. I think this is a relatively good idea since you should do your research before buying something, and also since I bought it from Ebay from a seller 'mundoregals2011' who are a legit distributor of Cudeman (Cudeman says that for their lifetime warranty, you should contact the seller you bought it from and I'm blatantly shilling mundoregals2011 because of their quick response time), the bill for the knife is on Paypal/debit card.
This is how it comes in the box.
The knife and sheath fit relatively well together, there isn’t any knifeplay, because the bolster fits perfectly in the sheath. The sheath itself is made out of quality leather, I can tell by the texture, the work on the leather and the smell of the leather itself. The red stitching on the leather go well together with the red lining on the micarta handles.

I just gave him a bad review. I said to stop hiring shills to shill on Cambodian satanic under water weaving screen doors into baskets to be doors on submarine forums
The knife is relatively heavy at about 230g, and looks a bit short for the design in mind. However, it does look sturdy, no matter the feeling of being small out of the sheath.
>>1067719
you're a fucking idiot.
A side photo of the knife itself. The handles are designed like something similar to a kitchen knife, and since the handles are micarta and the whole blade is N695 Böhler and the bolster is A304 stainless, it can safely be used when wet without the fear of slipping.
The knife fits well in the hand, and the jimping on the blade seems a bit rough but its actually wuite comfortable.
>>1067723
here's another blurry shit photo of me holding the knife.
>>1067724
some jimping closeups
the symmetry of the blade
the writing on the blade, tells you what you need to know
the only thing that stands out from the whole deal are the screws that dont exacty sit flush with the handles. but that seems to be the only thing a bit off on the knife.
Looks decent, the only thing I'm not a fan is the metal bolster, hole and that ricasso could be smaller otherwise that's my style of blade.

Yeah I hear ya. Im mostly a lurker here but I realized that I need a knife that wont need to be replaced every other year, so I might as well invest in something a bit better than the Walmart tier crap Ive been buying during the years. It looks very untacticool but I dont care about that, the less intimidating it looks the more normal it is when you take it with you in the car, sled or hike. Its sharp as fuck I already cut myself like a real normie

>It looks very untacticool but I dont care about that, the less intimidating it looks the more normal it is when you take it with you in the car,
It's sad this is a concern but I actually share it with you. In Europe people are so indoctrinated to frown upon something dangerous that they will freak out if if a knife looks more threatening than it already is.
I stopped edc'ing a "tactical" folder because of that.
And to think that knives were seen as integral part of life throughout millenniums in this continent.
>>1067755
The tactical stuff in knives is just for looks and signalling your insecurity around. I won't for the former as I don't like the design, and I don't need the latter.
I was digging it until leather sheath. Is it too impossible to ask for a stainless steel /out/ blade with g10 and a kidex sheath?
>>1067861
It has the kydex sheath option. Also micarta/wood handles.
pointless hole is pretty ppointless
>>1067880
The holes are there so you can tie it to a stick and make a spear to stab the heart of your enemies.
>>1067888
so you're.. agreeing with me?
If you have a knife you make a spear by carving a spear point and fire hardening, not by strapping your knife to the end of a stick.
>>1067890
Im not agreeing nor disagreeing with you, its just that the tang is 5mm thick, and the hole is still on the ricasso side of the blade so it doesnt really make any difference on a N695/440C steel. It doesnt have to be there, but it is
>>1067888
You don't need holes to do that
>>1067907
90 USD.
Here's your (you)

>'The blade has a quarter-inch hole just north of the handle and below the spine enough to not affect the blades’s strength. While likely included as Spyderco’s trademark “spider hole,” it also serves some obvious functions. One option is to use the hole in tandem with the lanyard hole to tie the knife to a branch making a fine spear. Or you could use paracord to secure the blade sharp-side out onto a branch or tree trunk.' (Spyderco Bushcraft review, JFGI)
Gee I dont know, maybe the hole is there to fit all your knife knowledge in there, since its obviously a normal thing on a lot more expensive and well known knives.
get out of my /out/
Also OP if thats really 440C equivalent, its a good catch at >100$
>>1068569
440F, not 440C
>>1068569
> since its obviously a normal thing on a lot more expensive and well known knives.
okay name me them, then.
Other than spyderco, who originally came up with the hole as an opening mechanism and an alternative to a traditional folder's stud. The 'spydie hole' is instantly recognisable, and for this reason ONLY it is also on their fixed blades.
It's the same reason they have it on their non one handed opening blades like the DK folder and pingo - it serves no purpose other than to identify the knife as a Spyderco.
also,
>my /out/
fuck right off.
>>1068590
440Fuck right off.

>'Boo hoo only Spyderco should have holes in them so I know its a Spyderco, all other knife makers a shit'
This is how you sound. If something doesnt fit the /out/istic spectre, you sperg out. I really like that hole now, and everytime I see it on a Cudeman, It'll remind me on how many /out/ists foam at the mouth when they see it. Perfect.
