Mushrooms Demystified, and its companion book "All that the rain promises... and more" by David Arora are great, good for the west too. Mushrooms of Western Canada by Helena Schalkwyk is nice but it's paintings instead of photos.

Ramaria formosa? Never did spend much time on the coral fungi. I'm almost strictly an ascomycete guy these days though.
