Well, I'm in Indiana and I think we've got decent hiking. I personally go to state parks (turkey run, mccormick's creek) and recreation areas (lieber, cataract falls) for trail hiking, or hoosier national forest for primitive hiking. Indiana always ranks a zero or one on a scale of one to ten in the "rate the states for /out/ activities" threads. You can hike anyfuckingwhere.

Arizona has a lot of good places. Only come here in the winter though.

East coast pretty much sucks

WA is pretty great too

fellow Hoosier fag here. Indiana is great, no mountains, but we got plenty of wilderness. Turkey Run is beautiful, went there like 9 times on field trips. every /out/ person should Google turkey run and just look. lake Salamonie is also based.
