I have the same thing under my arm. I out a steroid cream on it and the red has dimmed down a bit. Rest of my body is ate up with chiggers. Mine had 3 small blisters like Posion ivy. Not really sure what it is. But you're not alone.

Update*
The red has went down but is still there. A doctor friend said it was a spider bite. Said they do a shot and it's all good but I'm still testing out this old agent orange steroid cream I got on it. Mine looks like ops but much bigger in a 3" x 3" block.

I don't think I've ever been bitten by a single chigger; they tend to attack in swarms. It looks a bit too dry for a chigger bite, too, but I still wouldn't rule out the possibility.

If it is itchy, apply heat. It won't help as much as when you have poison ivy itchy, but it will help more than not using heat.
