I had this recently after a really bad burn all over my upper torso, it fucking sucked especially when trying to sleep.

I have used this to cure poison oak many times.

Just pour a little on a rag and apply liberally to effected area.

It lifts the poison oil out if your skin and drys it to a scab.

This. It's the only home remedy that doesn't make it worse. Only works temporarily so plan to spend a lot of time in there.
Alternatively, you can go to a doc and they'll give you a shot for it that stops it for around 12 hours (for me)
It drove me mad to the point of contemplating suicide once. Doc said it's an allergic reaction causing your body to do a histamine dump into the burn. Also said it's becoming much more common every year

Ive bad full body poison ivy before, get over it

Got jock itch badly one time
Burned so much I had to sleep on my stomach to keep pressure on my crotch. When I finally got topical antifungal spray, it made it so much better.

Ice it with cold packs for a few hours and it will fuck off

The reason the shower feels so intense/relieves is the hot water releases all the histamines.
Crank it hotter and hotter till you feel like you are scalding yourself.

When I had poison ivy I found I could out do our hot water heater.
