I haven't been hiking seriously in almost 10 years and I'm looking to get back into it - mostly because this place made me nostalgic.
Does anyone here have any recommendations for some entry level binoculars? Mostly for bird watching.
I'll also be posting my favorite hiking spots from back in the day - all of them from Romania.
Pic is Ceahlau Mountain.
I also want to use the binoculars for trips to the Danube Delta.
shame nobody replying op I'd like to hear about some binoculars/telescopes too

Depends on the price range, but generally speaking Kite has some of the best bang for your buck ratios. Recently got to use a basic Olympus 10x25, which was surprisingly decent.
Also, post more pictures.
Finally a bird watching thread!
I have a Vortex Diamondback 8x42, it's good quality for the price. In general I think Vortex is a good brand for lower priced binoculars. Plus you get lifelong warrante,
Please tell me about your birding anon, what kind of birds are your favourites(tough question I know) also where are you from and what kind of birds do you get there?
