Tried a Snowpeak pour over last time I was out. Would have been perfect had the filter bottom not blown out. Just turned into a cowboy coffee at that point. I think I have to play with how the filter fold. Otherwise it's a cool design, packs down flat and pour overs are easy clean up.

I grind the beans at home and do it with a camping french press I was given as a gift. Works decently well. I bring along those shelf stable combo creamer/sugar/flavor things to make up for the fact it's not my smooth as fuck cold brew I make at home.

I am a coffee nerd and use integrated brewing bags like those from Growers Cup. Most consistent results, and after I found a blend/roast I liked, it is good.

Alt. is to go all the way, grind beans in the sticks, measure water weight and temp etc. but that gets too involved and cumbersome.

I have a jet boil with the french press screen attachment.

I carry an old enamelware percolator, but I prefer the coffee from the percolator. I just use the percolator for boiling.

Instant does the job if I'm way out.
If I'm close to the car or with multiple people, I have a stoneware perc that's perfect.

I do cowboy/Turkish just because it requires the least amount of things (coffee, pot, cup) but cleaning Turkish made coffee is annoying, so it's mostly reserved for camping
Bagged coffee just doesn't exist in my country, it's basically packets of Turkish

You can buy decent instant coffee and mix it with regular coffee you grind yourself (mortar & pestle is actually very good for fine grounds). I have both.
French press is way easier to use and makes a nice big pot of coffee.
Flavor is in no way similar to the aeropress though especially when you run espresso grind through the aeropress, so much nicer but to strong to drink without water or cream

Aero press + metal screen + hario mss-1b burr grinder in a stuff sack with some beenz. Goes everywhere with me.

The ritual for making your morning Joe is really nice. It goes to shit when you are making coffee for others. Cranking a grinder for every cup gets old if you aren't drinking it haha.

I use these mostly, sometimes i bring boiled water in a thermos. If there is water nearby i sometimes use that and boil on a campfire.

Grind yo shit just a bit finer than french press, like a coarse ocean beach sand.
Put the rubber stopper into the tube until the base of the stopper is even with the tube entry (just below the 4).
Fill with grinds to about the same point below the 3.
Fill with a little bit of water just off the boil.
Stir all teh grinds.
Fill will water to the top of the tube.
Wait about 1:20.
Press that shit.

I found THE single instant coffee brand that doesn't taste like garbage. I deem it even better than the brewed coffee I used to drink before that. Not only that it is actually cheaper, as it isn't an expensive brand (yet). What's lighter to carry and to make than instant coffee while out?

Percolator, instant, or cowboy. It depends. Percolators are nice when you're out with amenities. Instant sucks balls, or at least it tastes like ass or something, but when you're /out/ doing something on time constraints, you eat ass if you need that caffeine. Cowboy? You done forgot your percolator, son. Or some shit on it broke or was lost. But it really isn't that bad. Just expect some grounds if you aren't a master at doing the whole decanting thing.
