What's your opinion of lifts used for mountain climbing?

They are shit and a product of the instant gratification generation.

There's not a pepe smug enough to show the satisfaction I'd have drinking cocoa while watching foriegners die a frosty death outside of the elevator, the privilege of which they paid multiple times more to have.
hate them. they bring fat lazy fucks to beautiful places where they don't belong.

I had to use the tram on Mt Washington because I broke my angle descending.
I think they're useful for people to enjoy the outdoors who otherwise would be unable to.

>lift
>climbing
obvious contradiction aside, i enjoy both technical mountaineering and riding cogwheel trains or gondolas.

Conceptually, I don't it doesn't bother me too much if ski lifts or other pre-existing structures are used for this purpose.
I do hate the idea of fatties building crap in my /out/ so they can be lifter up and litter all over it.
>>1048528
Fine but being fat and lazy isn't an excuse for using them. And that's 99% of the people who use them.
>>1048400
If there is an alternate way up a mountain, dislike. If the gondola is the only way up-- unless you want a 3 day siege from sea-level, then fucking whatever.
Way worse are fucking lazy asses who ride cat trax up to the top. I did hood a month ago and a good hunk of people rode the cat trax up to the hogsback, which is about 80% of the climb. bunch of fat idiots.

They'd be loling at all you pussies who didn't accomplish anything.
