I normally play a guy from YouTube called Boyce Avenue if I am camping with a group. He does almost entirely covers of pop songs, so most people in the group will be able to sing along to a lot of the songs, without there being trashy pop music actually on. If you like chill guitar with solo and occasionally duet vocals he is awesome.

Yeah, I remember talking to an anon who was an Odinist who was in a band or something. We got talking about the state of modern metal and how it's more about the image than the music now. Lotsa good discussion in that thread.

i tend to listen to something more chill but upbeat, kind of mellow jam bands, mostly instrumental shit. Papadosio, The Malah and Lotus are my top 3 picks. i like the instrumental stuff because it gives you more room for your thoughts, lets you interpret the music how you want instead of the lyrics having an effect. hard to explain but that's the best i can do. don't get me wrong, i have metal too, i like longer shit like between the buried and me for being /out/, gives a greater sense of adventure to me.
