What kind of jobs or professions exist that directly relate with nature and outdoors? I don't necessarily mean Park Ranger or lawnmower guy, but anything where day-to-day work would deal with the nature around us.

Wildlife/game and fish law enforcement. Get a degree in wildlife management or some sort of recreation degree. It makes you more competitive, and you'll get paid more. The pay is decent and increases over time, and the incentives are usually pretty good. Truck, boat, four wheeler, and other things like that. You don't have to stress quite so much about writing stupid tickets to meet some quota, and you're outside most of the time. If you can get your foot into the federal side, they pay very well compared to most states.

I do this. It's pretty neat most of the time but a lot of it involves new construction. Definitely keeps you in better shape than an office job, walking all day and being in the heat.
