This summer I will go hiking with my father in Norway. Any tips for me as a newbie from people who have been there?

I have been twice at the Trolltunga.
You don't really need any advice, just wear good hiking boots, have raincoat with, pretty much a lot of food (Trolltunga hike takes about 8-10 hours). One bottle of water is enough for both of you - there are plenty of creeks with clean fresh mountain water.

and remember to take some warm cloth with you - up in the mountains it can be really cold compare to the ground temperature. During my hike last year it was only +8/+10 degrees

Good choice with the places, two tips depending on the time you will have:
1. Do not go just for the Preikestolen and Kjeragbolten. Go the whole way around Lysefjorden starting at Preikestolen. Little to no people, beautiful surroundings. If you are travelling by a car, you can easily go back to the starting point by taking a ferry.
2. Add Folgefonna ice glacier to the list. It's really close to Trolltunga, you can make it in one day or spend a night at the hut at the top.
