Mosquitoes live off of nectar from plants. Only the females drink blood, and thats only when they are producing eggs and need the protein and iron. They will drink the blood from almost any animal.

Aside from that one strain of mosquito that evolved in the London underground metro system, that preys exclusively on humans, none are specifically designed to eat us.

I've actually been trying to figure out a way to catch mosquitoes and bugs. I was thinking solar panel + LED bulb = unlimited food supply. Let that run at night and wake up in the morning to a full meal. Thoughts?
