Well, you are not going to live there forever - that's the main point.
It's easy to get depressed during winter, because of total darkness for about 4 month (I have friends living on Svalbard, so they know how it works).
Overall, I would really love to live in Antarctica for some time, because of love to photography and nature.

too cold. mcmurdo's interior temp is kept at 57 degrees. i applied as an emt a few years back as a goof, totally not expecting to get an offer, then felt like a bit of an ass when i had to tell them thanks but no thanks.
