>when it's a really sunny day and all you want to do is take it in while physically not doing much and peacefully resting in your garden
Who here likes to sunbathe?
Only in UVB light

I don't particularly care for skin cancer, so not I.

I do that on a weekly basis, but at the beach instead.

Just apply sunscreen if you're concious or do it for a short amount of time (like 30 minutes or less)
Definitely beats resting in your bed all day ;)

Has limited effect against skin cancer. Hell clothing isn't perfect against skin cancer, and is the entire reasoning behind the switch to UPF instead of SPF as a measurement (protip: most shirts are under UPF 30 and most pants are around UPF 50).
I'm not opposed to being out in the sun, but going out in the sun JUST for the sake of going out in the sun doesn't appeal to me. Especially if it involves wearing little or no clothing, like sunbathing. I'd rather be fishing/hunting/hiking/kayaking.
