I have vacation days to use up and wanted to go to Canada on a fishing trip. Problem is all my friends are faggots who only want to go for a couple days. If I'm driving 8 hours one way I'm staying more than a couple days.
Anyways, does anyone know what the laws are in Canada regarding camping on crown land? Can I just pull off the road and camp next to a lake?
Is there a website that will show me crown land?
I want to catch fish. Walleye, pike, perch, lake trout, smallmouth... Not really too picky. Would I have luck pretty much anywhere?
Will bears kill me? I live in west Michigan and the only bears I've ever seen were in Canada

Ontario* whoops
You aren't Canadian, camping on crown land will be illegal for you. Fishing licenses will be more expensive for you too.

Pretty certain you made this up

You'd need a fishing licence and it's about $30-$50/ 8 days

As for Crown Land you'd need a permit and that's ~$10/person per night

And the map is found in the "Atlas"

For bears I'd recommend trying to find an island to camp on so you don't have to worry as much...

>bears can't swim
camping on an island is like cornering yourself for the bear to eat you easier. why would you do this?

Of course they swim but they'd be less likely to get to you, plus in Ontario there are only black bears so they don't eat people and attacks are rare, the island is so you don't have to constantly hang your food in trees and such
