Its nice to have an outdoors wristwatch thread, to post what you're currently wearing when on an /out/ing. So here's mine;
>Casio SGW 100 w/ negative display
I've had it for a year and a half, its of good quality and the compass and thermometer are correct almost to the degree (+-0.1 C and +- 4 degrees compass)
I use this for serious adventures

And this everyday in the city and when I travel to shitholes
The other one is bigger and easier to read at a glance if I'm climbing something
I also bought this because I liked it on paper and it has a very distinct Metal Gear Solid feel to it.
But it's shit irl. Not solar and no Multiband 6. 2 to 4 second error each day. Absolutely worthless.
Nowadays gshocks are a meme one use only watch, protreks seem better
Btw I'm a gshock expert faggot so you can ask away.

Okay.
Is there any way of making the piezo crystal louder so that my G Shock can actually wake me up in the morning?
Can you recommend a G shock with multi alarm (4+snooze) but also 20sec alarm sound instead of 10?
Seriously, answer me this and give me some models if you really are the expert you think you are

Whats that

I've tried wearing watches on a regular basis before. They're always uncomfortable on my wrist, and I'm always messing with it.
A week or two in and I'll usually end up forgetting to put it on one morning and then never wear it again. Then it gets lost somewhere and if I want to try wearing a watch again, I have to buy a new one.
>>1032784
what watch did you use? get a smaller one and with less than 50g of weight. You could always try that cheap casio watch and from there get another one, but never more heavier and bigger than +-43mm case

Suntoo whoknowswhat. Got it about 10 yrs ago. Time/pressure+temp/altitude/compass

All these g shock monkeys, I have a vostok Amphibia. designed in the 60s for soviet submariners, ship to NZ from russia. Automatic watch cant run out of battery, amazing piece. Its practically indestructible.
Does Garmin make good /out/ watches

I use the same watch no complaints other than >>1032270
Idk if Japanese have insanely sensitive ears and are all light sleepers, but there's no way that alarm would wake me up if I needed it to. It's not a huge problem as 99% of the time I wake up without an alarm and the other 1% I use my phone.
Overall great watch for the price.
This is my EDC watch.
Great for the /out/doors and you can take off the compass if you don't like it when in the city etc..
I use it as it is every day.

I think watch alarms are more of a reminder than a wake up call
Any suggestions for a watch that can tell degrees and distance?

>expert
So is everyone with internet access, bucko

Mah negro. Understated enough for work, but rugged enough for /out. Solar is good too.
Only thing I don't like is how short an amount of time the light comes on for. Considering there are no battery worries, you'd think they'd make that adjustable.
>$10
>no batteries
>no ticking at night
>wafer thin
>tells time
>radioactive glow at night
What more could you want?

forgetted imaeg
I've had one of these since 2011. I don't use the GPS aspect of it, but the ABC features on it are still among the best in a wristwatch. You can pick them up certified refurbished from Garmin for sub $100 now.
I want to get a watch that's kind of "entry level" because I'm not much of a jewelry guy but hopefully I'm getting a job soon instead of being a NEET. I'm looking at Vostok watches and they seem good an inexpensive.
Thoughts?

There's a watch general on /g/
Get a Seiko
>>1033787
>Get a Seiko
Or a Tissot if you want something more dressy.
>>1033788
Seiko is the king for people with mid-low money that want something formal but dont know exactly what to get.
It's also ok for outdoors as well
>>1033758
Thought you were talking about the f91w there for a sec lol

HMT won't get you 7 years in GITMO for wearing it though.

5.11 Sentinel. Tough as fuck, plus printed really small on inside band are directions on how to find true North from each hemisphere.
I have a timex expedition that I literally almost never take off (I'm lazy like that).
It's a newer model than the one I had for like a decade and my entire scouting career.
Disappointed in the fact that the band broke and the battery ran out within 2 years, when my old one held strong much longer under far more severe conditions. Guess they don't make them like they used to
When I get more serious about travel, I'll get pic related and wear that all the time

Wristwatch?! HA! The only thing I hike with is my sundial and penis gourd.
