Thinking of getting a bike for long trail rides and going into the city. What kind of bikes does /out/ use?
I have Trek Marlin 6. It's okay
the kind that they talk about on >>>/n/

How much it was?
an orange one
I use a flat bar road bike but I'd consider a cyclocross bike if I were you. I ride quite a few dirt trails on my bike and it's pretty quick but not good for real mountain bike trails.

Hardtail with big tires. Full susers are better if you can afford it.
It is nice to go like the wind on this.
I own a Totem Roam with 29" wheels. I've always owned Treks, but since I recently moved had to buy a new bike and Trek wasn't an option this time. Nothing affordable available in my city at all. SO I went with a new brand. So far I'm really happy with it, but haven't gotten out of innacity yet. Love it though!

I don't go on n/, but now I see I can, thank you sir. Lot of bike thread indeed.
I'm thinking about getting the Contend 1 as my first road bike. Any opinions?
Is the red too flashy looking? I am planning on getting a red and black colored kit to go along with it.
Biking is an /out/ activity. It belongs here. You little punks like to pretend ONLY camping and hiking belongs on /out/.

>hurr, going to the store is an /out/ activity. It belongs here
Biking is not in the sticky for /out/, but it is a huge part of /n/ culture
/out/ is not a home for refugees from /n/ who can't play nice in their home board
You have to go back

Learn what etc means lmao
It falls under the first category, outdoor recreational activity.

Don't forget it's in the outdoor sports section of the second post of the sticky. http://www.outdoor-sport-leisure.net/. Sorry, fooling around in the woods like a hillbilly isn't the only thing that belongs on this board
Transition Patrol... 3rd season with it.. sweet ride, especially if you go for the 1x

Oh yeah, and get a dropper post too. Thought they were kinda lame.. until I had one.
>>1030749
Ignore that asshole, he does this in every bike thread and nobody pays any attention. /n/ talks a lot about bikes doesn't know a lot, /out/ is better.
>>1032143
/n/ knows al lot about collectible bikes
This is my bike. It doesnt see much action off the road.
Whenever I post it on /o/ everyone just calls me a hipster fag. It hurts
>>1030757
This is /out/ so we're obliged to tell you to get a cyclocross bike instead.
>>1032197
/dbt/ is a horrible, horrible thread. Unless you are one of the few known tripfags, they all just shit on everybody and everything. Even if you ask a legit question, they're just like "GOOGLE!"
rigid 90s mtb with slicks
