i recently got this metal tool thing (looks like aluminum) and I have no idea what it could be. it looks like some tool for using in a yacht? cant be sure though. definitely something for outdoor water craft.
what is it?

it clearly says "aqua craft" so it is for crafting water.

you mean like batonny chop chop?
The right side of the handle looks like it has measurements for edges/corners. Could be for some carpenter.

I would be guessing, but could it be a tool to space wooden decking for sailboats?
use the blade to keep the spacing even because long cuts are often slightly warped along their length
on the pommel it looks like depth spacing
strange tool

Definitely looks like some sort of spacing guage
Its a diving equipment

It looks like a tool what for banging fish in the head with. So the 'spoon end' you whack 'em to stop flopping, then axe chop a kill shot in with that spiky piece, then gill rake for a bleed with the hook looking protuberance.
A conveniently waffled handle-grip for use when wet and/or being broadsided.
Note this would be for sea-fish in the middling range maybe up to 60 LBSish. Bigger you'd want to shoot them wth a good fish rifle I use a 30 carbine from the CMP.

Nope, its a shellfish knife for divers. It has guages so you dont bring up small shellfish and have to throw them back once youre on the surface.
