Anyone here have experience with long term wall tent living?
My old high school buddy lives in a canvas wall tent up in Montana. He works on a large farm and they just let him set up a little place of his own. I went to visit him last Summer and it was pretty sweet. I don't think I could do it though. While I enjoy going /out/ on the weekends, I still need my high speed internet to play video games during the week after work. But he seems pretty happy. The people he works for are very nice as well. Took me on a hunting trip and we went fishing and then hung around my friend's tent with a bon fire and enough beer to supply a spring break beach party. The locals were pretty cool too. It was a small town off a major highway and everybody was pretty chill. Everybody rode around in 4 wheelers, UTVs, bunch of old trucks with farm use tags. Felt like back home in the country where we grew up but much nicer scenery.

Looked into putting up a yurt. Properly insulated, it does pretty well in cold climates but does seem to be that great for warm ones like where I live in north Georgia.
