What knife brand is this /out/ its a pretty shit blade quality but the body of the knife and the pocket clip is pretty good. Thinking about buying a folding knife blade blank and replacing it with like a known quality steel. Its even got nylon spacers in it..

Gas station
No-name Chinese bullshit, probably sold under a hundred different names. Those "nylon spacers" are cheap knife crap too, I'm afraid.
Don't bother trying to modify it, just buy a Kershaw.

Tbh I don't buy folders.. All the ones I have are given to me for free. Such as the one in the OP. and modifying something shit to something good is the /diy/ spirit.. And ill forever have it. So telling me to buy literally a 100 FOLDING dollar knife. Is like asking you to get a girlfriend. Its never gonna happen. The more money I spend on a sharpened piece of steel the longer the steel should be. My machetes are 50-110 US dollars. And from 16 inches to 26 inches. So dropping 100 dollars on something questionably foldable and 3 in a half inches long.. Nope.gif

$50 can get you very good steel and heat treat that will take a lot longer to dull.
If your job or life requires you to use a small knife often, then yeah, you spend the extra buckaroos.
Whatever knoife you decide on, just make sure you get a good fire steel to keep that edge sharp!

Its the only way I keep my knife sharp.
Spyderco makes a second line of cheaper knives called "byrd", I have bought 2 of them and they are fucking sweet fot 25 or 30 bucks... I have a few spyderco knives and they last for ever. both can be an every day carry

$30 spyderco, made in China but still good. Get one at walmart.
Infinitely better than gas station garbage.
