State park to fish.
Fishing sucked, everything was coontail and filamentous algae. Managed 3 small bass in 8 hours.
Shitty day outside in the rain all day came home and didn't feel like doing shit

Hiked Mt Baldy with my uncle and cousin who were in town for the weekend. My dad had organized a hiking trip for my old scout troop and we tagged along. Cheated and used the Ski lift but it was still a nice hike despite the crowds.
It was sort of sad seeing my old troop, I only knew one of the leaders and, they have new Troop shirts (Ugly Orange instead of superior spruce green). I didn't talk to them much but I was kinda disappointed in them. My uncle, cousin, and I made it to the top relatively quickly and ahead of everyone else. As we were waiting the kids in the troop came up in ones or twos widely spaced apart. The twos were all kids with their dad. You couldn't even tell they were a group unless you looked at their shirts. Even at the top they didn't really socialize with each other much. What the fuck has the troop come to if the kids aren't hiking and hanging out as a group. Like what even is the point of it being a troop hike if they're never even close to each other.
Also I saw a cairn on the way up but people were sitting by it so I couldn't kick it. On the way down it had been kicked by the time I got to it. Its good to see that other people are out kicking cairns.

Fishing in upstate NY. Caught a shit ton of tiny ass perch and nothing more.
B-b-but it's just nice to get out there r-right?
Went to the beach and dug up a fucking horseshoe crab. Once we pulled it out from under the rock the fuckers guts fell out and smelled like asshole
I just took a casual stroll in the woods near my town, hardly /out/ with civilization so close but the view is always great
>>1023179
Pachaug forest for a nice morning hike. Saw some pretty flowers.

This one is super rare to find. Haven't seen one since I was a small child.
Pontiac Lake in SE Michigan.
Bug spray didn't work for shit and I was eaten alive for few few miles.
Otherwise a nice 12 mile hike finished by noon.

is that a lady slipper? I grew up in massachusetts and we would see a lot of them in the woods there. used to be one of my favorites. Haven't been back in about 6 years though.
I didn't, just another miserable weekend spent shitposting all over the web.
The football season is over though, there's only the champions league left so yeah, I need to start going /out/ more. That or travel, but doing it alone all the time kinda sucks id you go to places filled with tons of groups.

Where is this?
>>1023179
Eastern side of mt. Hood.
>>1025585
Yes it is. Connecticut is where I found em. Used to be tons around my house as a child but they all disappeared at some point. Apparently they are an at risk species in this area now.
>woke up around noon after a night of fishing and getting drunk
>clean up a little and do a load of laundry
>take a shower planning a trip to Walmart then fishing again with another buddy
>starts pouring down rain while in the shower
>buddy doesn't want to go now
I guess I can sit at home and save money, go to the movies alone, or go fishing by myself in the rain.
Next week I'm buying a new tent for this Summer and there's a kid's day at a nearby lake that I plan on taking my 3 year old niece to.

>Where did you go /out/ today?
To the driveway under my truck. What should have been a simple brake job before fishing has transformed into a 6 hour and counting shit show of redoing the entire brake system. Maybe tomorrow I can go /out/.

Near Mt. Mitchell?
The tourist season combined with memorial day weekend meant the mountain was packed, and for some bizarre reason half of the visitors were Indian. Still nice. I just wish the NPS would destroy all the roads in.
>>1025971
Pretty close, yeah. It's just past Roan Mountain, Tennessee on the section of the AT that straddles the NC/TN line. One of the prettiest hikes I've had in a while.

>>1026440
They are definitely nature's ballsack. Crazy how plant life can vary so much in such a small region.

It's still beautiful anon, I can tell you that much.
