This infrographic is dumb and made by some obvious numale suburbanite.

No. You need AT MOST 1. The dog can eat some kibble off the ground or drink water from a stream. The bowl would be useful only if traveling a long distance from one water source to another.

If your dog can't handle the outdoors then your dog is more useless than a cat.

No. If you have a companion and a bug out bag for them then the bag should contain material that would benefit yourself first, then the animal.

the doggy bowl thing is a bit silly. a flexible silicon bowl should be enough for feeding and watering the dog
jackets are useful if you have a hot weather dog and need to take it into a cold environment. booties are used by sled dogs, there's nothing wrong with them. like human shoes, they reduce the likelihood of an injury during a long trek. the arguments against putting shoes and jackets on dogs are just as valid against human beings. why don't you wander into the woods naked and shoeless?

dogs are generally bad at carrying loads, though many are good at pulling. if you're making the dog carry your stuff, then either you didn't bring enough supplies for the dog or you're overloading the dog and it will get injured.

If one has a hot weather dog in a bug out situation then they either shouldn't head into cold weather areas or shouldn't have the dog. Simple.

If you have a sled dog and are pulling a sled then use boots are useful. Otherwise ones dog should be able to trek wherever you are able to go and at the same pace without injuring it's feet.

That's why it should carry VERY MINIMAL supplies that should benefit both. Examples being ammo for hunting food, rope, other light items.

while I agree with the general sentiment of having a dog suited for the climate, things don't always work out that way. are you going to just shoot your dog because you're moving north for a year? the jackets aren't heavy and reduce the number of calories your dog needs to stay alive. even sled dogs are sometimes outfitted with jackets
