Just do it once. You'll realize its not that bad, just make sure you are tired by the time you set up camp. Otherwise, you may have a hard time going to sleep alone as nature isn't totally silent at night and your mind might play tricks on you. Maybe even bring ear plugs or music for when you fall asleep.
