I found it slouched over and the root thinned out to almost a thin strand when i dug it up, what could have caused this? This is the 3rd time its happened to me
not enough light
it stretched out and became leggy
also too much water possibly.
very common with fucking everyone who wants to start seeds inside on a window sill without enough light. in all honesty get a grow light or a southern facing open sun room or attached green house if you want to start seeds inside that aren't retarded-leggy and long and almost dead
please listen to me i run a plant nursery and sell plants and seeds for a living

hey how'd you fall into that line of work? I'm sick of my sales job and I want to do something in ag, either greenhouse work or horticulture.
>>1006058
don't do it please
the pay is absolute shit, the schedule and hours are as bad as it gets, you deal with the public, it is basically sales, you learn to hate plants and become cold and empty inside
>>1006066
awesome, so its basically working in a restaurant which is how i got into this mess.
every day i idealise suicide

the faster that you come to the realization that you just need to find a simple yet professional 9-5 job where you have a normal schedule and decent pay which allows you to then pay for your life and things that make you happy, the better
you may think that jobs like that are boring, but spend enough time in a shit job that's supposed to be interesting or fun and you'll understand
>>1006079
and yes, i'm talking about sitting in a cubicle and doing work.
work on your feet abusing your body long enough and you will be begging to sit down

its called damping off, fungal attack. try hydrogen peroxide next time

You embarrassed it to death by posting in the wrong threads. It's what happens to everyone who tries to love you.

Phytophtera root rot

Without seeing it in person, this all sounds correct to me.
I am also a horticultural specialist (cough... pot farmer).

Yup i agree auxin the hormone controlling growth in shoots make plants grow long, white and stringy when they dont get enough light
