Are newer Jaguars better in reliability?
>>
A new jaguar is still a jaguar
>>

Do you own a Jaguar?
>>
I haven't see an jag in the longest time. Are they common over there?
>>
the depreciation is harsher than the reliability
>>
>>17886219
Ford Jags were the most reliable. I don't know about the Tata jags.
>>
Wondering this too OP.
>>17886240
Aus cunt here. Been seeing the newer ones more and more lately. Especially XF models.
Remind me too much of commodores from the back and sides
>>
Reliability is difficult to ascertain across any brand, but they are usually as reliable as any other luxury car manufacture with similar manufacturing tolerances and QA, it's not like every Jaguar will simply explode just 'because', and I say this as someone who would never consider owning them.

Pre-ford jaguars were essentially unfixable to non-specialist mechanics and they caused the reputation.

I looking at XE models and I'm tempted to buy one. But past reliability horror stories well, horrifies me.

But also I keep hearing Tata poured in a lot of money to JLR so that would mean Jaguar would be improved tech and reliability wise, right? I don't mind the occasional breaking down of parts like any luxury car would do but frequent breakdown, will be a huge case of money pit which no one wants.

I understand buddy. I totally can't expect Lexus like reliabilty in any European cars but just the news of improvement would cheer me up as I'm an avid fan of all European bands.
>>
>>17886219
They share the Land Rover's parts, so it would be unreliable for sure. However, this is the true characteristics of the British.

I hear that German brands are getting better and better. I suggest you to check them out.

My dad has the jaguar XF 3.0 AWD from 2013, does many km with it actually 166K km and in all this time the only thing that failed ( and came from day one i guess wrong from factory ) was the lambda sensor, it got fixed, and since then the car hasnt had a problem. Here un europe you start seeing more and more of them since they are a lot cheaper now, starting at 33k with the xe diesel, its a shame

>is a notoriously unreliable car now owned and made by third-world street-shitters reliable?

lmfao
>>
>>17886939
You're thinking of Korean brands
German shit is still shit made by Germans
>>
>>17886219
Did someone seriously take the time to plaster a F-type picture over a Maybach Exelero?
>>
>>17887206
Not that anon. I believe he means German ones are quite reliable European cars. Jag, Land Rover, and Fiat are not that reliable.
I agree that Asian brands are better than them.
>>
>>17887251
Oh I know what he meant, and he's wrong
If anything German brands have gotten worse in reliability
>>
>>17887198
Jeez man, I thought people shitting in the open in India was an old thing. Sad tho.

kek okay m8. Come back to me when they've held steady or continued to improve for 5 consecutive years isolated for powertrain. Then we'll talk.

Of course I see many f paces around. My uncle just bought a new one.
>>
>>17886240
They aren't really popular anywhere which is their problem. Declining sales means cutting corners as theres less money to throw around. The newer Crossover thing is a common sight in my neck of the woods, I see 3-4 of them per week, but other than that a Jag is a unicorn. 10 years ago you could see them on the highway pretty frequently, not so much any more.

>>17887343
The VDS and IQS absolutely are not bought and paid for. Thats an accusation so ridiculous you actually have to be retarded. Manufacturers buy this data after the fact to try and fix their issues, not just because it improves vehicle reliability, but because it improves the manufacturing process itself. The 80/20 rule always applies.

>>17887346
The study showing whether or not something would leave you on the side of the road, its about things going wrong period.

>>17887509
Look at their individual vehicle ratings, the F-Pace is resoundingly mediocre. Motor Trend also noted some cheap points of the interior. I don't think Jaguar as a whole is doing anything particularly well.

>>17887277
50% of India practices open defecation. The whole country is super filthy and its a major travel risk because of all the bacteria there.
