I would like to raise my Mazda 323 to fit larger tires and for improved appearance in general, but while legal maximum lift would be 50mm, the only strut lift pieces I've found are for 20 and 30mm lifts. Is there a reason there aren't higher lifting pieces, and would it be safe/possible to make higher pieces myself?
Also, is lifting a car harmful for it? There's a guy on Youtube who rants about lifted trucks wearing out their joints and other parts faster, but others say he's just a raving madman. So, should I lift my car or not?

The Scotty Kilmer video? I don't think it's debatable that increasing u joint angle will wear them out faster. Plus he's been a mechanic longer than I've been alive.

Is there a way to fit larger tires into a car without lifting the suspension? The insides of the wheel wells are made of some kind of plastic, and I don't have any idea how to expand them.

Enlarging the hole on the outer body of the car would be easy, but is there any way to enlarge the inside of the hole inwards?
