No more IMS problems and you drive a Porsche.
>cheap to run diesel mustang
you can get an IMS bearing replacement kit for the 996 that fixes its IMS problems. Once you do that, you can put a million miles on your Porsche, they last forever. Only the base 996 has IMS issues, not the Turbo or GT3.

Can confirm. Bought a boxster for 5 grand with the upgraded IMS and Rear main seal, and I've literally done nothing but change the oil twice and check the valve lifters in over 12000 miles.

Damn, that thing looks slick.

How 'bout a 944? Reliability?

If the IMS breaks the engine is a total write off. The point was to buy a 996 without a working engine.
