Every sports car has stereotype(s) associated with it.
>Corvette - old middle-class boomer
>Lamborghini - oil money arab prince
>Camaro - southern mullet douchebag
>WRX - vapefag twink
Etc etc. But I've never heard any stereotype about Viper owners. Do they have one? Is it possible they are just cool and respectable people?
ABSOLUTE MADMAN

I saw one in New Zealand last week. First one ever. Was incredible how small it was.
>>17872376
Usually it's that guy that got into IT or really any tech field in the early 90's and is now enjoying a nice 6 figure salary with some Fortune 500 company.
Like if Peter from Office Space was a little less criminally inclined and a little more narcissistic, add a decade or two.

depreciating car; bought a worthless trailer to put on land he doesn't own != smart
MY wife wanted a Viper. Her fave car ever. Then some fuckin' shittool bought every single last new Viper from the factory and jacked the price up $40K per.
So I couldn't get a Viper for a quasi sane price; daddy don't pay markups.
So I bought a Z/28, brand new for $50K and change. I don't live in the south. i don't have a mullet. And I sure as shit don't live in a trailer.
My wife, however, insists on making jokes about parking it up on blocks in the yard because she is just fuckin' bitter about the Viper thing.
>>17872376
Incredibly cool guy who is around 50, sometimes a bit older.
Also an absolute madman. When I was 14, I went to a car show and spent a good hour talking to the owner of a first gen Viper.
Turns out, he was an avid street racer, and he had raced everything you could imagine. He had some pictures from the 90s of racing an NSX.
He also bought one Viper brand new and wrapped it around a tree, then promptly went out and bought another one brand new.
>>17872655

No. Most viper drivers are old douches, kind of like Porsche drivers. And rednecks.

>>17873609
Porsche's, Vipers or basically any sports car never get used properly here. There's no tracks nearby. Most old guys use them to drive to work and the country club on weekends. Most are definitely too pussy to street race here.
>>17873646
>too pussy to street race here
tfw live in 3rd world but at least i get away with street racing
>>17873583
did he died?

Have fun paying 60% more than you would pay otherwise for a car that has already been driven by other people no matter what.
>>17872473
Grew up in Chicago and used to see them all the time. The first generation exhaust note sounded like a Ford Tarus with an exhaust leak for some strange reason

Viper - bitterfags, who obsess with the nürburgring ring times. They will chimp out when their beloved snek surpassed by the new kid on the block. They will throw more shekels to the 3rd party to run several flying laps in an attempt to set a better record.

My dad's got an '05 copperhead. Honestly don't know why he likes to drive that thing other than for the "fun" factor if you're an absolute goddamn madman. He used to street race back in the 60's. A viper is cool and all but I've never felt more like an inanimate object wanted to kill me. Shit pulls you all over the road so you're always fighting it. You can lose traction and spin out at the most minor mistake when trying to be even the slightest bit aggressive when driving it. Totally true that you will burn the ever-living fuck out of your calves no matter what.
>>17880433
It's fun reading car and driver magazine and the writers always admit being scared shitless when driving Vipers.
I always thought that was amazing since they make a living reviewing Lamborghinis and Ferraris every month.
They grilled bacon on the door sill of one ha
>>17880466
>Lamborghinis and Ferraris
Yeah, but those are much better designed cars, and tend to stick to the road like glue, rather than wander everywhere.
