You gotta cut corners somewhere if you attempt to sell "luxury" cars for half the price of a luxury car, and "super" cars for half the price of a super car. This is the result, and the engineering underneath isn't much better. Large Dodges still use parts of a 20 years old Mercedes E-Class platform.

The only Mercedes Benz transmission Dodge uses still is the MV4500 in our 3500s. Why replace something when it works just fine and is easy to rebuild. The other notable transmission like the NAG1 or 42RLE aren't foreign.
