I think it will be lacking in power for good laptimes. Equivalent cars are already as powerful, in 5 years even more so. It's biggest restriction in the nurburgring is already top speed on the big straights.

The current hottest Megane has only 1hp less from a 2 liter.
No doubt the chassis will be amazing and all hail Renault for still offering a fun car with a manual transmission, but it probably won't be a benchracer's wet dream like the old one.
