Is a D series EK Civic really the best bang for your buck with reliability, or is it just a meme?

They're great. They're fwd. Fun of a different kind.

No. You shouldn't buy a pre-immobilizer honda.

You won't fine one running.
>Ek civic
>3k dollars

Pick 2 and only 2

You can find tons in decent condition for 3k, not sure about burgerland, maybe it's different here in Australia.
Nothing wrong with a ej8 either (coupe of same year) and they are generally much cheaper than a hatch

.....wtf
standard ass price for a decent stock medium mileage EK civic hatch in my area.
they're fine op. Best bang for your buck? debatable. Decent cars? Yup.

This. I live in the rustbeld and a you're lucky to find a hatchback civic that runs reliably and looks decent for under 5k. Sucks because I've always loved hatchbacks.

Dont live in a shithole
Ive had my ef parked on the street for the entire time ive owned it and ive never had a single issue with anything theft related
Aren't the only EKs with Vtec the EX and the HX? Are the other trims even worth getting?

What do you think /o/ means when they're talking about the 3k Civic meme? It's the D series (Non VTEC) ones. If you're going to find a clean EK with a B series engine then you're going to pay atleast 4 to 5k
