It was cranking for a second and then stopped yesterday, now it won't crank whatsoever.
I tested my battery and it read 12.17, I'm assuming anything over 12.6 is good?
I've yet to test my starter motor but what else could it be?
I also don't have a code reader atm.
Pic although cool, not related.

Seems like the starter is bad dude. Test it out.
Hammer to starter might help

12.17 is an almost dead battery.
If it's rsting at 12.17, its probably dropping to 9 when you try to crank it.
Charge that shit yo.
Sounds obvious, but tighten down your battery cables.
>was an idiot and replaced my starter, then 80 burgerbux later noticed they were loose.

Buying VAGshit

Definitely charge your battery or replace it if it doesn't come up. VAG cars are touchy with low voltages so start there first then get it scanned with the factory scan tool or VAG COM if the problem persists.

Yes you need over 12 volts to start a car, but you also need a lot of amperage. You can have a full 12.6 volts and too low of amperage to turn a starter motor. Your battery is mostly likely bad.
