Pretty common in eastern Europe. They are shitboxes but are rather capable in offroad. Most offroad events end with the new SUVs stuck in the mud and two grandpas pulling them out with a Niva and a tractor. They are also reliable considering how many are running in the smaller villages where I bet they haven't had an oil change in a long ass time.

I daily one 35 miles a day on tarmac and shitty roads.
Buy a new one quick because they are rumors they are going to stop production or just get an old one. If you want turn key and forget motoring either forget it or buy a sub 20 years old fuel injected one.
Parts are super cheap and they are fun to wrench. Make sure you follow service intervals as per the manual and you treat the body and cavities with good quality underseal.
