I am having trouble finding a car that I like exactly to use as a cheap project car. For those that are curious the top contenders are: rx7, miata, and 944.
My main question, however, is how to determine which cars are cheap or expensive to fix assuming I am doing the work myself. What are somr parts I can use as a benchmark for,how expensive parts for the rest of the car will be?
Also feel free to give me alternative car suggestions/tell me why these are bad.
Find some group with same car owners, they usually know cheap parts, or sell them.

So are you saying all cars have the potential for cheap parts?
I want to make sure I dont buy a moneypit (yes I know all old cars are moneypits).

There is cheap parts, but usually in used condition. Or you need to wait restock. Group buys are also good option. I bought oil pan brace with 3 people and saved almost 60€.

Alright, good to know, thanks.
Do you have any recommendations between the cars I posted?

In my opinion FC3S is best project car if you want good availability with aftermarket parts, Miata with factory spare parts

Can someone explain OP's pic? I understand the essence of it, but what did the code exactly do?

Speedtrap database of speeders gets deleted via SQL injection. Basically the camera reads the license plate and accidentally executes code to delete the database. Pretty hilarious.
