Hey /o/, about to head over to clean my new (1996) car for the first time. This is my first time not taking it through an automatic wash. What is essential and what is snake oil? Do i really NEED a different cloth for wash, wax and dry? Recommend brands? Etcetera
Thanks!
how fucking lazy are you that you've never washed a car before

I have some armorall wax i was gonna use that looked ok, but are 2 in 1s a safe bet? This is all they have for washing

>just followed the advice of this video yesterday on my black 06 4Runner
>swirl marks and light scratches fucking everywhere, so decide to polish pretty much all of it
>All I get finished is the drivers side and hood
>several people say the drivers side looks way better
Goddammit, now I'll have to go back and do the passenger and rear soon.
All you need is car wash soap, clay bar kit and a soft mit

ya, they're good for keeping up your current coat of wax longer, but i wouldn't use it as a sub for actual paste wax, if you're really tryna shine.
