China is no threat to the US. The trade investigation into China stealing corporate secrets and manipulating currency began last month. China will be found guilty, a tariff will be applied, and China will be forced into a trade war. Ruining their export market with a tariff will sink the Chinese economy, and their government will collapse. Furthermore, their military is highly inexperienced- China has not fought in a war of any sort since the Korean War, their biggest engagement was of the Japanese (Taiwanese government led China at the time), and the ensuing civil war. Versus a country that has been fighting wars nonstop since its foundation, China is no match. It also has no 'bluewater' capability, meaning it cannot wage naval war overseas or feasibly interrupt supply chains from the US. China would also have NATO and non-NATO (Japan) to deal with. Allying with Russia would bolster its chances in delaying defeat, but Russia also does not possess bluewater capability, and teaming up with Russia is a long shot anyway.

Get ready for a huge hit to the American economy when the trade war begins. Keep an eye on the investigation- once results come out, that's your last chance to get out. Buy the low and ride the wave back up at a probable 10%+ growth. Otherwise, don't worry your pretty little head or even think about China. They're inconsequential.
