How hard was it?
How long did it take?
I hate my shitboxes color but I'm not paying $1000 to make it a different one
I got a spray gun and an air compressor as well as a garage to do it in and take my time
With that in mind do you think I could make it look like it rolled off the factory floor a different color if I bought some high quality paint?

aaaaaaaaaaaaahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahah
the single fact that you have to ask /o/ means you should avoid this at all cost
it will look like shit 100%

It can look food, but not great, expect a quality that's maybe a step above what a college kid could do with a few cans of spray paint. you're better off just getting a wrap.

It will look ok if you do a decent amount of preparation.

Watch some Youtube. There's a ton of great painting tutorials there.
Go buy a fender/door from a scrapyard
Practice on it a bit
Then try.
I promise you'll at least like it.
Also I hope your shitbox is nigh-valueless or the paint looks like an absolute garbage fire currently, otherwise this is a waste of time/money.

most important step right hurr

> I'm not paying $1000
And that would be a super shit-tier paint job. A decent quality paint job will run you twice that minimum, otherwise you're looking at a Maaco job that will flake away in no time and be incomplete.

you're right, it will look exactly like food
You're options are to get it wrapped or get a different car. The fact that you're asking about this means you aren't ready to completely strip it, bondo imperfections, prime it correctly and then apply the paint and clear coat in a clean environment.

Me and my dad painted my van when I was in high school. It was not fun. We sanded so much he had to go to the doctors cause his hand was bothering him so much.
Prep, prep and environment. But, lots of sins can be cleaned up with sanding and buffing after. Though it is always better and easier to lay down nice layers. Post work is time time consuming and some things just won't buff out.

And as you can see in the bottom corner, the paint began to bubble after a few years. Other than that it was great looking...
Some moron Afghan at my school once painted his car - with house paint. Everybody laughed their asses off - it looked like shit

Just buy one of those dip your car kits.

That Greenbrier sure looks comfy...

how much would it cost to have a low end wrap done?
