Brought my car to a shop earlier to get a problem diagnosed that i cant figure out for the life of me. think any of you guys know the problem?
02 v6 pontiac firebird autotragic
whenever it sounds like its going to shift up, it sounds like there's an air leak coming from the back of the engine bay (i know transmissions don't use air pressure). only happens when throttle is between 50%-90% down. doesn't sound as loud when cold, berely noticeable when i first start driving. i usualy fix my own shit but this stumped me so hard i gave up. any ideas? can feel transmission slipping when it makes that sound so maybe new torque converter/tranny/both?
