Mine was an '88 Firebird with a 305 V8. Bought it from the original owner for $1500 after looking for a good deal for weeks in Autotrader mags. Drove it through HS and 6 years of college. Pic related but my non-formula version had a slightly less cool looking spoiler and hood. Hopefully I'll find a fully restored 3rd gen Trans-Am for my mid-life crisis car here in about 15 years.
DD ing for almost 6 years now
89 with a 350. hello turd gen brother
Good car to make all your beginner mistakes on, felt sturdy as fuck until I got up to 100 mph and then it started shaking, I found that to be hilarious and scary at the same time

1992 Eagle Summit Wagon
Small, body with a lot of usable space. Worst drivetrain on any vehicle I have ever driven. Literally begging people on the road not to murder me as I attempt to merge.

2003 Renault Clio Mk2
Fun as fuck to drive, didn't use that much petrol and only major repairs I needed was when someone crashed into me.

Sometimes you can't go home anon. Maybe. But be prepared. Newer cars are so much more stiff and better. I drove one of my favorite older cars, 86 cutlass 442 and was happy to drive away in the elantra I had at the time.
