Drift isn't even fast. I thought drifting was cool for a while when I first got into cars, then I grew out of that phase. Right about then, I realized that MR is best layout, and you don't drift an MR car.

Drifting at low speeds gets pretty boring pretty quickly, and drifting at high speeds is incredibly dangerous and difficult to do. And no matter the speed, you are going to be going through tires incredibly quickly.

Things are much less fun when you have to pay for them yourself.

Grip is faster anyway. The tiny slip angle you need to have to be faster while drifting than you would be while grip racing is so incredibly narrow that it is almost impossible to achieve in most cars.
