What do you think about new Mini Coopers?

I kinda like them but I have heard they aren't exactly reliable. Is this true and if it is what kind of problems do the cars have?

Meaning they are miserable to maintain over 100k.

They are small, ride like a roman chariot, fall apart and expensive for you get.

Only a fool would take one over a GTI or Civic but that's just my opinion.

The newest ones are as big as my miata, which is not a 'hatchback'.

That said, their sportier packages aren't anything to laugh at - but they're such a saddening distance from their iconic originals.

The 1st Gen New Mini looks great (own R53 so slightly biased). R56 and onwards are fat and ugly.

I'm a Japanese Mini owner. Mini is fun to drive. Not fast but turn very well. One thing I hate about it is it's expensive to maintain. A thermostat broke a few months ago and it costs me $400 to replace. That is 4 times as expensive as the average price

The modern ones don't have the charm that the original ones do.

They also have the problem that they are exclusively driven by 18 year old girls and I've never seen one that doesn't have at least one dent in it and I've never seen one that has been maintained well.
