Not even a little. Fun enough to drive, not valuable enough to have to constantly worry about it.

It's just an older Civic Si but damn if it isn't blissful to drive with the sheer amount of hills and mountains I can run it on.

Yes, but only because it's boring to me and I don't want to drive around in a gas guzzling loud SUV

Absolutely. This is a "do not meet your hero" kind of scenario.

The build quality is just as you'd expect for a early-2000's pontiac.

It is quick tho. And rides surprisingly well. Gets pretty good highway MPG. Good roadtrip car.

This thing? Naaaah
Never had any actual issues except for the alternator coming and going for a week (now working fine again) about right after I bought it

Goes where I want and need it go, carries and tows whatever I need it to tow

Pretty much the best car I could've gotten

>>17832913
What is that one little red circle, some kind of sensor?
>>
>>17832913
Not a bad car in any metric, but this just screams midlife crisis.
>>
>>17832941
Still have most of them

I have the 124, E Class, and the Pilot with me right now.

The SLK, ML & F-150 are at my parents since I lack enough garage space for my fleet of 5K cars. Will likely swap the 124 for either the ML or the F-150 once actual cold weather gets here and garage the 124 for the winter

Miata I sold. I just didn't have the time to spend on it as a project car, and really wouldn't have for a couple more years. Found it a great home with someone who will enjoy it

The old SL 380 is still around, but not running at current. Last time I really tried to get it going, cylinder 1 had 0 compression, and again, I just didn't have the time to start tearing it apart (again) to figure out how bad the damage was.

However, it's in a heated garage as well, so some day when I have free time again, I might just drop the engine from a SL 500 in it.

Not really, I just had higher hopes. The car is amazing, don't get me wrong. Comfy as fuck, quick as hell when she needs to be, eight feet of storage with the seats folded, I've done everything from sleep in it to move to a new house it it. I just really want a small 2-seater. I couldn't bring myself to sell it though, so I have to wait till it inevitably gets totaled by some fuck nugget doing an illegal uturn here on the fucking Fury road. That said though, it won't be an unpleasant wait, as I do genuinely love it.
>>
>>17832903

I have a somewhat recent model Subaru Impreza with the Lineartronic CVT.

I admire the MPG the CVT can get in most terrains, but I live in Portland. They do their best around here to avoid roads being straight or level, so the MPG gain is completely eliminated over the manual, and it's about 10.5 seconds 0-60 even though all the car review places try to claim it's 9.0-9.5 (which wouldn't be so bad because then Priuses wouldn't fucking walk me).

The AWD is a fucking riot in the winter though, passing all the dipshits with studded winter tires and FWD because they have no idea how to drive.

I'm not highly disappointed, but definitely somewhat. My priorities if I was buying another car would be to get one with a 0-60 6.5 seconds or faster, AWD or RWD, great handling, and the rest I don't care about, in that order.

Yes.

Slow, underpowered, and the transmission is fucking GARBAGE.

Owned for a little over a year, in that time the front shocks went bad, brake rotors, pads, and an abs sensor (I hope). When the and sensor went bad it fucked everything up, now it seems to shift even worse, and there's a clicking noise coming from the centre console when turning right, but only right. I know it's the shift lock, but after looking at it, it's not broken or worn. It happened the moment my abs and traction control lights came on, so at least I'm hoping its that.

At least it's comfortable.

Mine has developed a "comfort problem" where it jerks the car when I go on/ off the gas pedal. Google's for hours, could be one of many things, I'm fixing one after another to get rid of it eventually.

Welcome to the agony that is owning a Chrysler product. They are fine until the gremlins show up, but once they do, you'll spend the rest of your life playing whack-a-mole with stupid issues like you're having now.
My family was a Chrysler family until about 5 years ago... and I own 2 chryslers.

Also,
>expecting Chrysler transmissions to be anything more than utter shit
>>
>>17835534
I'd check the accelerator pedal sensor and throttle position sensor first. Could also be worn bushings in the driveline but that's usually an issue in high power cars
>>
>>17835551
Didn't really expect a whole lot, but didn't think it would have just as poor reliability as my Mercedes.

Was cheap at least.
>>
>>17835654
Now you know why it was cheap. There's a reason they plummet in value... not sure why Jeeps stay so expensive because they have the same issues.

You can usually make the issues go away for a month or two, but they do come back. Just long enough to sell them cheap.
>>
>>17835674
Even if i fixed all the issues, the interior is a fucking squeaky mess of plastic.

I took the whole fucking dash apart and lined it with felt, and put foam at each of the screws and plastic clips. Now my dash doesn't rattle, but then my fucking door started to rattle.

The 1.6 is anemic, the steering is heavy and vague, if it's an automatic it shifts like shit and the car is enormous for its supposed size.

Do you at least have the heated seats? Out of all the cars I've driven the new beetle has by far the best heated seats I've ever used.

Yes, very much so. I have a 2001 S80 T6 that my grandparents highly overpaid for. The transmission grenaded itself and that was $2800 out of my own pocket on a car that's realistically worth about $2500 to $3000. I kind of blame my parents for making me pull the trigger with that decision. I was going to part it out but they said that I should repair it. I plan on selling it soon and getting a car that I actually want to drive.

You did get jewed pretty hard. When they were phasing out the Ranger I remember you could buy them new for $9,999 CAD. I still regret not getting one.

Speaking of vehicles that's never let me down, this thing. 4 years in and I've never had a single problem with it, only ever had to do normal wear maintenance. Beat vehicle I've owned.

Super worried rust is going to eat it though. One of the rocker panels are starting to rot away, I need to get it fixed but don't have a huge budget to fix it. I already fixed a lot of the rust myself, but this will need to be cut out and welded by someone with some more experience than me.

Not at all disappointed with the car since it is quite refreshing to have something that starts and runs with absolute certainty, but I do sort of resent the reasons for buying it (corporate slave drivers said they would no longer put up with me taking days off to wrench my S60R or my E34 every time they had some stupid problem). I'm kinda dissapointed in my Jeep, but to be fair I ran out of money to keep fixing it so now it's just sitting at my friends house while I'm 2 states over making all the money I need to fix it. I basically need a suspension overhaul; Ball Joints, Bearings, Bushings, Shock Absorbers, Sway bar links, and even some electrical work because my headlights and aux fan stopped working shortly after I got it stuck in this puddle.
>>

Yes.I bought a brand new WRX when I should've gotten a RWD v8 sedan like the Pontiac G8. Only has fucking 260ish hp

>Bought my '03 325i E46
>156k miles for $2k
>Drives smooth
>Clean interior
>No errors on dash or weird noises, everything just works
>Literally the perfect car that I always wanted

But there is one problem, before I got this car, I was driving my father's '00 328i e46 and the difference in speed between the two is noticable.
Even my brother agrees that it's not as fast as my dad's car.

Kinda. Radio just died and it has no cold air. Paint is a faded mess. I didn't want my grandmother's Millennia because she wanted money for it, plus the parts it needed would've cost me extra. Got the Escort for free and all I had to pay for we're the parts. It's great on gas and has 26,000 miles though, so it's a good A to B car.

Planning on getting a Saturn. Either an SC2 or an Ion. Which is better?

I'd say Ion since it's safer while having essentially the same amount of features.

I'm on the same boat too and this is one I found which seems very nice.

Here's hoping it's not a jape ad because of the autistic screencaps.

>>
>>17838248
Chrysler memes aside, how is the 200? I've been looking at a used one because the option it offers combined with the asking price is a pretty good deal.
>>
No, I have a 2016 C450 that I got for $390 a month. It was a demo car with 3000 miles on it. My sister works at a dealer, hence the discount. Leasing it until 2019 rolls around, I'll either get a new Silverado 1500 diesel, or something similar.
>>
>>17838298
Around here all you'll hear are memes but I really like mine. I've put about 1500 miles on it since I bought it and haven't had a single issue with it. Most of what people talk about here about it seems to be maintenance related. So as far as I can tell, if you take care of the thing it should be just fine. The dollar to style and luxury ratio can't be beat.
>>
>>17832913
Ugly as fuck. You made a horrible choice.

Ironic really, all those years of cucking people while selling cars, and you got cuck'd into buying a shit Fiat

I'm actually a big fan of the back doors on the Saturn coupes. If I can't find an Ion coupe an Ion sedan will do just fine. Love the dentless body panels too.

Only slightly.

For what i paid for it i really cant complain

It handles competently , is reasonably quick for what it is, fuel efficient, and comfortable.

but the gear spacing is weird and 5th gear is physically farther away than any of the other gears.

6800$ though i have no real complaints.

Most likely by next year ill be trading it in for something new like a wrx or fost

I was gonna get one of them but got a fucking crossfire instead.

Low-key regert the decision.
>>
>>17832903
Meh, it runs smoothly and is cheap to work on. It doesn't disappoint me especially with how tossable it is being 2700lbs.
>>
>>17838958
Yikes dude. How is the crossfire?
>>
>>17836366
I swapped the engine due to a warped head, now it keeps fouling spark plugs. Last week it got a massive coolant leak and started overheating. It also developed a huge vacuum leak.
I've also had to replace the brake master cylinder, one caliper and the brakes still don't feel right.
The abs is weird and I need to remove it I guess. It also has a bunch of oil leaks that it didn't have when I put the engine in, and I need to get an alignment badly.

It's pretty good in all honesty, 215hp makes there a little more to want, but low-mid end power is absolutely fucking fantastic. Corners like a dream.
I beat my friend's 300hp 2001 GT Stang with a short throw and cold intake on some twisties, and on a drag I can usually get ahead first, but he passes eventually.

Luxury is non-existent except for leather seats, trunk space is good. interior design is unique. Autotragic Tranny isn't horrible, but I can tell it struggles with my spirited driving.

It's good for 13k. After market might as well not exist though.
>>
>>17838997
The 200s transmission is the only worry I have about it. The 9 speed is supposed to be terrible but I have a good warranty and by the time it's up I'll be looking to replace it anyway. The only real thing I'd change about mine is that I'd want the sports package with the stiffer suspension and the paddle shifters
>>
2003 Cavalier LS Sport Coopay.

Pros
>small but somehow lots of trunk space
>good outward visibility
>rides like a modern car
>bulletproof Ecotec 2.2L
>Getrag transmission still shifts well and precisely
>AC still cold, heater still hot
>lightweight
>enough power to have fun, not enough power to easily get into trouble
>good gas mileage
>has never let me down
Cons
>it's a cheap parts bin shitbox
>will probably break my neck in the event of a crash
I love it dearly
>>

So far the only reliability issues i've had was the Evap Canister killed itself and the power steering lost some boost. One was because Carmax decided to put the wrong Octane fuel into it, and the other was because I handle it like it's some race car.

It takes 0W40, I use Mobil 1 full synth, and 93 Oct fuel because muh compression/mercedes lmao.

Other than that, at 88k she's held strong, despite being in a minor accident at her early age.

It's still very low mileage. I've still got an old Super Vee crate engine sitting in storage from my racing days. I'm planning to swap out the engine eventually.
